Our first securities case involved a retired, widowed school teacher, naked options, and the 1987 market crash. Since then we have pretty much seen it all — from mobbed-up bucket shops to Ponzi schemes like Bernie Madoff. From Stratton Oakmont to Lehman Brothers. From Prudential Limited Partnerships to Enron.
We have worked with hundreds of securities attorneys and helped recover countless millions for defrauded investors across the country.
And in all this time we have only represented investors. We are 100% pro-investor. We will never work for Wall Street.
Over the years we have developed proprietary, custom-written software using the latest technologies and programming languages — now including AI and machine learning. We have applied this technology to every aspect of securities litigation: account analysis, arbitrator research, PDF processing, data visualization, and investor intake.

Thomas Benson founded The Diogenes Group in 1993 with a singular focus: use technology to level the playing field between retail investors and the brokerage industry. With over 30 years in securities litigation support, he has built some of the most advanced analysis tools in the industry — and has never once worked for the defense side.
